Photos from around Tucson, Arizona
Is it real? So much of the art you post looks real? It looks like a cross between a sunflower and a passionflower. Tree
Tree -- it is a real flower, just the way it looked when I saw it a week or so back at the Tucson Botanical Gardens. Unfortunately I have no idea what type of flower this is... Anyone?
Whatever it is, it's gorgeous!
I think it's in the sunflower family...maybe a type of sunflower in fact...I'd like to know for sure.
Catalyst -- it sure is, very large and striking!Kim -- thanks for the tip, I'll see if I can find out what exactly this is...
sheesh, that's so gorgeous, it looks fake! Thanks for visiting my blog and thanks for the nice note! I've been thinking about sketching the new addition already! too bad he's crouched hidden in the corner...just a shadow...hey, that'd be easy to sketch...where's my black crayon? :)
alanna -- thanks! I assure you, its quite real, very cool flower!
It's a Gazania, native to South Africa, but grows beautifully in Arizona. They come in many colors from orange, yellow, white, and combinations of all three.
AZ -- thank you very much for the flower identification! Appreciated!
Comments are always appreciated, they let me know if anyone is actually reading my blog too!
