Christmas time warp

Wow, this year has gone by both quickly and slowly, if such a thing is possible. Here are a few handheld snaps from Christmas Eve as I drove my mother through the Valley of Lights large scale Christmas light exhibits up in Prescott Valley, AZ.

They had several large drive-through tunnels that were pretty cool. The geek in me wanted to say "engage" in my best Captain Picard Star Trek voice and floor it to watch the lights streak by as I entered warpspeed... but alas...

Apparently the workers had some gripe while building this tunnel, at least it appears they raised some cane while constructing it...

A rather large stage coach streaking by in the dark of night

Lots of traffic on Christmas Eve. To get an idea of the large size of these Christmas light sculptures, check out the size of the flag way down the road as compared to the size of the cars.

A better view, but without scale, as we drove past

ok, this was a completely accidental handheld camera blur that came out pretty cool, adding depth to a large Energizer Bunny display.

Manger scene with a camel at least as big as a very large camel.

There were plenty of other cool displays, but hard to get off good camera shots since you aren't allowed to get out of your car and pretty much have to keep your car moving along. They had an ark scene with two giant giraffes that was one of my favorites, but my pics came out too blurry.
I hope everyone is having a great holiday season and will have a safe and happy New Year!
